Why Patrick Still Matters (Yep, Even for Us Today):
Saint Patrick wasn’t about leprechauns—he was a real guy who got taken as a slave, escaped, then chose to go back and share Jesus with his captors. Legend says he kept the Bible Sabbath (Saturday!) and stood up for truth when most didn’t.
His life = bold faith, real forgiveness, and courage to live different.
That’s the same call we’ve got in the last days: Keep God’s commandments. Share Jesus. Don’t blend in with the world.

What is Juneteenth?
On June 19, 1865, news finally reached enslaved people in Texas that they were free—more than two years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.
That day became known as Juneteenth—short for June Nineteenth—and it's the oldest known celebration of the end of slavery in the U.S.
Why Pathfinders Should Care:
It's a day to honor freedom and those who fought for it
It reminds us that truth matters—and must be shared
It challenges us to stand for justice, kindness, and Christ-like love
Jesus said in John 8:36:
“If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
Juneteenth celebrates that kind of freedom—both physical and spiritual.
What is the 4th of July About?
On July 4, 1776, the U.S. declared independence from Britain. The Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, saying all people are created equal and have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
That day became America’s birthday—a symbol of freedom and the beginning of a new nation.
Why Pathfinders Should Care:
God values freedom—both political and spiritual
Many early Americans came seeking religious freedom
Freedom means we’re responsible for how we live, lead, and serve
Galatians 5:13 says:
“Use your freedom to serve one another in love.”
As Pathfinders, we celebrate not just independence—but the chance to live with purpose, honor, and faith in Christ.
