Veteran's Day Service & Hospital Barn Party 11/8
Previous Years of D.U.T.:
Adaptation from “The measure of the Holy Spirit we receive will be proportioned to the measure of our desire and the faith exercised for it, and the use we shall make of the light and knowledge given us.”
— The Review and Herald, May 5, 1896
D.U.T. (Drill, Uniform & Testing) isn’t just another event — it’s one of the most important steps on a Pathfinder’s journey to being Invested.
What “Invested” Means:
Being Invested is like a graduation in Pathfinders. It’s when a Pathfinder officially completes their class level (Friend, Companion, Explorer, Ranger, Voyager, or Guide) and receives their class pin and patches to wear proudly on their uniform. It shows dedication, discipline, and growth — physically, mentally, and spiritually.
What Happens at D.U.T.:
Drill: Pathfinders demonstrate teamwork, respect, and precision — showing that they can follow direction and work as one body.
Uniform Inspection: A polished uniform teaches responsibility and pride in representing God and the Pathfinder ministry with excellence.
Testing: Pathfinders complete their Investiture Achievement bookwork — proving their understanding of Bible lessons, Pathfinder skills, and community service.
Why It’s Important:
It prepares Pathfinders to earn their class pins & patches that symbolize their progress.
It helps them grow in character, discipline, and leadership.
It honors the commitment of both Pathfinders and parents who have worked hard all year.
