Camp Hawthorne, the Southeastern Conference SDA campground in Hawthorne, FL, is a beautiful 65-acre retreat with everything you need for Pathfinders, youth, and church events. It features a modern conference center seating up to 4,000 with a baptistry, a full dining hall, private rooms and cabins, plus a gym, basketball courts, skating rink, zipline, waterfront, and nature trails. From aquatics to go-carts to worship, it’s the perfect spot for camps, retreats, and spiritual gatherings that combine fun, faith, and fellowship. Pathfinder Classic is typically held here during Labor Day weekend as well as Youth Convocation in January/February.

Camp Kulaqua, one of the largest SDA camps in the world, is a 600+ acre retreat in North Florida packed with adventure, nature, and faith-filled experiences. Magnolia Park, right in our own Apopka backyard, is the perfect spot for a local clubs camping skills weekend. With 18 peaceful, shaded sites under giant oaks—each equipped with electricity, water, picnic tables, grills, and fire rings—it’s set up for comfort while still giving that real camping feel. The park also has two large group sites (for 35 and 65 campers) with restrooms and showers, making it ideal for Pathfinder retreats or skill-building challenges. It’s clean, affordable, and well-maintained, with the added charm of peacocks and herons wandering the grounds. Plus, it sits right by Lake Apopka, offering a scenic boat ramp and access to the Lake Apopka Loop Trail for hiking and biking. All of this makes Magnolia Park an unbeatable, close-to-home location for fun, fellowship, and building outdoor skills.
